winwrx — the win is on

Delete your account

You can delete your winwrx account at any time, from the app or from any winwrx site you use. This page explains what happens when you do.

How to delete your account

In the winwrx app: open Account, scroll to the bottom, and choose Delete My Account.

On the web: sign in at the site of any business you use winwrx with, open Account, and choose Delete My Account.

One account, every business

You have one winwrx account, and it is shared by every business you use winwrx with. Deleting it removes you from all of them at once — not just the one you are using at the time. The app will show you the full list before you confirm.

It happens right away

There is no waiting period and no way to undo it. The moment you confirm, your account is closed and your personal information is removed. If you want to use winwrx again afterward, you start over with a new account.

What is deleted

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • Your date of birth and state of residency.
  • Your mailing address.
  • Your profile picture.
  • Your display name, which is replaced with an anonymous one.
  • Any Facebook or Google sign-in connected to your account.
  • Saved sign-in codes and verification records.
  • Your device details.

What you lose

  • Open giveaway entries are voided. Entries in giveaways that have not yet been drawn no longer count, and cannot win. We cannot award a prize to an account that no longer exists, or contact you if it is drawn.
  • Points and entries are forfeited. They have no cash value and are not transferable or refundable.
  • Memberships are canceled and do not renew. Deleting your account does not refund a membership you have already paid for.

If you have won a prize that has not been delivered, or a membership you want refunded, settle that first — once the account is gone we cannot look you up.

What we have to keep

Some records cannot be deleted, because the law requires us to keep them or because deleting them would misstate something that actually happened. These are kept without your name or contact details, and are no longer linked to you:

  • Giveaway entries and winners for giveaways that have already been drawn. A giveaway has to be able to show who entered and who won.
  • Orders, payments and membership charges, which are financial and tax records.
  • Prize paperwork, where a prize you won required tax forms.
  • Points and plays history, which is what those orders and entries were counted from.
  • Moderation records, where a report was made about or by your account.

Things you posted

Comments and posts you made stay where they are, with your display name replaced by an anonymous one. If you want something you wrote taken down, use the delete option on the comment first.
